Vancouver Student Entrepreneurship Association presents Bright Ideas Competition 2010

Bright Ideas Competition 2010 is now accepting applications!

You think you have an entrepreneurial idea? Compete in this year's Bright Ideas Competition.  It is SIMPLE: Get together in your teams and answer a few questions about your idea. This year's prize pool is $1500!

CVC Tickets Sales

Ticket sales for BC's Clean Venture Competition and Forum will open March 1st.

In January 34 teams and 132 students entered this competition, and we are now down to the remaining 8 finalist teams! On March 20th, all attendees will have the opportunity to witness the people who will drive innovation in British Columbia, meet industry professionals and hear from some of BC's best in this industry.

Why should I attend BC's Clean Venture Competition and Forum?
  • This will be a unique and valuable experience for all students in attendance, where they will have the opportunity to improve their general business acumen and knowledge of venture capital financing.
  • Keynote speakers and industry professionals serving on the judge's panel will be present and will interact with students periodically throughout the day. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and other business professionals.
  • A delicious buffet style lunch will be provided.
  • There will be a social event at the end of the competition, offering students the chance to unwind and have a good time with friends and colleagues. Prizes will also be handed out.
  • This event will open doors to career opportunities down the road for budding entrepreneurs and up and coming leaders of the business world!

For those interested in attending, our agents will be available to assist you with the registration process. Furthermore, if you purchase tickets online, you must visit the agents at any time during the scheduled period above to pick up your special hardcopy passes for this event. These passes are a secondary proof of payment and they will expedite the registration process on the day of the competition.

    Public Works Information Sessiion

    Public Work Canada is back at UBC for a 2nd information session! Public Works will talk about "How to Do Business with the Federal Government" - Learn about the fundamentals of selling goods and services to the Government of Canada. This seminar provides information on how to market to the federal government, how the government does its buying, and how to keep track of opportunities to bid on Canadian government purchases. An introduction to the MERX and SRI systems is included.
